"Deck The Halls"
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel,

Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Yule before us,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Follow me in merry measure,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Fast away the old year passes,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Sing we joyous, all together,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

A los chicos que les tocó las fechas importantes de Diciembre, aquí les envio la información. HASTA DONDE APAREZCAN SUS NOMBRES ES LA PARTE QUE LES TOCA APRENDERSE.

WINTER SOLSTICE (22 DECEMBER)
"Solstice" comes from the Latin words SOL (sun) and SISTERE (to stand); so WINTER SOLSTICE means "SUN STANDING STILL IN THE WINTER". When the northern hemisphere of the Earth is tilted away from the Sun, it receives less sunlight as the Sun gets the lowest point in the sky. for this reason, there are shorter days and longer nights. Around 22 December, the Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year and the beginning of the winter season.

HANUKKAH (21 DECEMBER - 29 DECEMBER)
This holiday comes from the time when Judah reclaimed a temple from Syrian King Antiochus IV. When Judah and his followers were preparing the temple for rededication and they were going to relight the candelebra (Menorah), they realised that there was enough oil to burn for only one day. Miraculously, that little oil lasted eight days until they found more oil. To commemorate HANUKKAH (rededication), Jewish families light a candle each of the eight days, they prepare special food fried in deep oil that represents the oil that lasted for so many days and children receive gifts each night. BOXING DAY (BANK HOLIDAY) (26 DECEMBER)
The day after Christmas is a public holiday in the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zeland and Australia. Traditionally, this day was devoted to help the poor by giving them some gifts inside a container made of wood or clay, called the "CHRISTMAS BOX". Nowadays, the tradition continoues as employers give a Christmas bonus to all employees. LUIS. ALEJANDRO

NEW YEAR'S EVE (31 DECEMBER)
At midnight, everybody celebrates the end of one year and the beginning of the next. There are different ways of receiving the New Year around the world. In London, for instance, there is a firework display over the Thames just after the Big Ben chimes are heard twelve times. SILVIA
